Former WAFL player Brendan Verrier talks about the concussions he suffered during his time playing in the WAFL.
After playing at South Fremantle for 10 years Brendan’s lack of knowledge and awareness around concussion ultimately resulted in him having to retire from the game he loves. Brendan suffered a serious concussion which saw him with TBI symptoms including blurred vision, dizziness, headaches, fatigue, and confusion. Brendan kept playing through his symptoms, suffered a few more knocks, and months later ended up having to take time away from the game to recover. Listen to Brendan tell his full story below.
